There has been a plenty of questions about the Wheelboy deck. The deck is custom made by Playboater. The deck features a shockcord- costruction, Kevlar reinforcing and +2 inch barrel. Simple & dry !! Aviable: S-M-L barrel. Here is some deck images.

Have you ever thought about converting your kayak into a C-1? See the picture below which shows how we intall the seat in Wheelboy. Just to remind you, we sell our C-1 seat as a seperate article, too (with or without foam pads, pillars and saddle foams).

05.10.2004. Drakkar teams up with Icopolymers for ultimate kayak materials
All Drakkar kayaks are made out of quality plastic with excellent impact resistance. It is nice and smooth with great colours. Because we are happy with it, does not mean we are stopping our plastic and construction development.
Drakkar has teamed up with Hannu Jerkku from Icopolymers for ultimate kayak material and construction development . We can’t say lot but it will be stiff and light. Solution is something never seen in WW kayaks. The best thing is that it will be no more expensive than just few bucks normal kayak. The new material elaborated for playboats that are paddled on waves. After the test you will see some of our new kayak prototypes on the water with new construction.

The long hours are finally paying back. The first production wheelboy hulls will roll out of the oven. The first boat leaves our doorstep at August, 13th. These are busy days.

Firstly we must apologize for delay in schedule. We have been working hard.
All time we spent fine tuning the shape as well as outfiting. As result Wheelboy incredible high performance whitewater canoe is now available for all.

I was tired of flipping in the eddies so i desided to Get real c-1 freestyler. I loved Massive Groove but they were squirts and wanted to fly. So I took a completely new approach mixing ideas and experimenting with new ones. As I was low on money at that time the boats looked ugly, but once the concept was ready and tested I was psyced how fine it performed. The birth of first wheelboy proto took place at summer 2000. It was a super boat for the time and I learned many tricks on it. It was the fastest wheeler ever seen on earth and the wave performance was great. Time went by and every year a new generation of that canoe was born. With few protos of each generation boat developped. Boats got shorter moves got higher. This year is an introduction of the 5 the generation. It took me 4 years and 5 generations to come up with worlds one and only C-1 freestyle kayak. I started designing kayaks and canoes just for fun at 1998. That time i was really just getting in to canoe industry staring my little kayask shop. My first serious thought desing was a Ladies kayak. It was hot boat even 3 years after maiden voyage. That kayak will have a complete rebirth with S-ize. |
